Visions and Values

Our Vision and Values for life in modern Britain.

 Vision Statement:

‘Going for Gold’

Mission Statement:

Working together to provide a secure, happy and stimulating learning environment where each child can develop to his/her full potential.

At Gilbert Heathcote our school aims are for our children:-

  • To be happy and safe and healthy
  • To have respect for one another and the environment
  • To develop their social skills by listening carefully and working together
  • To do their best and experience success
  • To become lifelong learners

At Gilbert Heathcote we also encourage our children to make the right behaviour choices and work hard to meet all of the criteria of our ‘Golden Rules’:-

  • We listen to people, we don’t interrupt
  • We are gentle, we don't hurt others
  • We are honest; we don’t cover up the truth
  • We are kind and helpful; we don't hurt anybody's feelings
  • We try to work hard, we don’t waste time
  • We look after our property, we don’t waste or damage things

Within each year group, as Children demonstrate consistency in meeting these Golden Rules, they become a ‘Golden Child’ and are rewarded within our ‘Golden Assembly’s’ with the Golden Child Badge which depicts the colour of their class.
