At Gilbert Heathcote we want our pupils to learn in a safe, caring, supportive and happy environment without the fear of being bullied. Whilst we strongly promote anti-bullying during each and every day through our vision and values, once a year through the National Anti-Bullying Week we hold a range of activities within school. This years campaign runs from 14th November - 18th November and the theme is based upon children using 'power for good'. More information can be found by visiting the Anti-Bullying Alliance website.
The school has been awarded a special accolade from Derbyshire Council
for our Anti-Bullying Work. As part of this work we also
ask our children how they are feeling at school and many
complete our 'Friendly at Gilbert's' Survey. The results of this years survey can be found here.
Our anti-bullying policy can be found under the Key Information -> Policies section on the school website.
Within the policy there are also some useful links to external organisations that can provide further useful information and support for parents and children regarding safety and positive behaviour.
